Fangoria received the specs for the upcoming Evil Dead Blu-Ray:
The Blu-ray will contain two all-new 1080p anamorphic transfers of the 1983 demonfest, both supervised by Raimi: one in 1.85:1 widescreen and the other in the director-composed 1.33:1 fullscreen. The sound will be Dolby TrueHD 5.1, and the feature will be accompanied by a brand new audio commentary by Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert. The second disc will be a limited-edition DVD with a number of returning special features:

The NYC based Evil Dead tribute band Ash & The Necronomicons will be making their live debut next Thursday June 17th, 10PM at the Parkside Lounge located at 317 East Houston Street. There is a $5 cover, unless you come in costume (Evil Dead character or even just a plain old zombie) in which case admission is free! So if you’re an Evil Dead fan and live in NYC, you should definitely come out!

The world renowned graphic designer Olly Moss has designed an excellent exclusive Evil Dead poster for Mondo that is being sold at the last showing of Evil Dead at the Alamo Drafthouse. The poster and also a t-shirt will soon be available at Mondo Tees.


We came across Patrick Schoenmaker, a ridiculously talented illustrator and animator who has posted his Army of Darkness project on his blog. He apparrently had worked it over a period of time:

Grindhouse Releasing and Rotten Cotton have collaborated and released an excellent special limited edition Evil Dead t-shirt to commemorate the 2010 North American Evil Dead theatrical tour. These shirts are going for $19.99. Quite the bargin. Get them quick before they sell out!
