They're writing another 10 episodes so it look like they will not change the  30 minutes formula from season 1.

Too many things unanswered that should have been answered at the end of this season.  When you look at shows usually they continue until spring.  It feel more like an half season to me.  Anyway I'm complaining but I did enjoyed the show a lot.   Hope they will clear out some major mysteries next...

There's a book in the past and also one in the cabin in present time. He could easily took the one in the cabin when he came back. We must suppose this is the location he landed when he travel back to the future. We will probably never know. ;)

If they cut their budget they better choose to do just one big movie for television or less but longer episodes.  The show is already short. They ran out of steam because there was no character such Annie or the wiseman in the team who could figure out how to deal with this evil power...
