I wasn't too keen on the look of the woods either .. they looked fake. Grandpa the dog was pretty pointless ... I was hoping it was going to become possessed. All it did was pull back the rug then later get slaughtered which only turned my stomach.

I remember reading somewhere that the haunting wind sound loop used in The Evil Dead was achieved by Sam placing a microphone next to a slightly open window in the house they all used as base camp during production .. My least favourite part of The Evil Dead is the music used when the trapdoor...

Another Palace Pictures ED1 ex-rental red label VHS release (the other two being a white and yellow label) .. only originals have small Palace castle logo hologram stickers on the bases of the cassettes  .. it's got a FUJI logo on the top left so it's likely legit but a missing hologram sticker...

I've just won this French Evil Dead VHS release that I've never seen before on the internet or anywhere else! ... part of the 'Frissons' collection (translated to 'Chiller') .. the skeleton art on the top of the sleeve is from the George Romero film Creepshow, I'm sure I've seen the photo layout...
