I liked Evil Dead a lot... and as the original trilogy left a little to the imagination its 2013 counterpart was over the top with visuals on just about everything. It seemed to be less of a remake, and more of its own stand alone movie if you ask me. Then again who the hell am I?!? Well...

Splatterhouse is one of those cool games that you hear about, but no one ever seems to have an actual copy of... I know the game has a few different iterations that all have one thing in common a certain disembodied hand we are all familiar with.

I wouldn't advocate lighting little girls on fire... for a movie, or otherwise. As I have said before I give credit to the crew for using as little cgi as humanly possible. It is something most rely on way too often now days, and it is kind of a cop out. Go back to basics.

I have no reason to think the man is lying to us... because things like that can and will come out in due time. Uncut, extended, and special editions. It's all the rage to release 10 million different version(s) of a film.

It is interesting that they are using Fede Alvarez as an official source. This is good news, but I'll wait to go crazy until Sam himself talks about taking the helm. This is a good way to start out.
