Truth be told, when the '81 The Evil Dead was first seen by its intended audience, nobody was laughing ... it was hardcore in its time. It stopped people in their tracks. Governments tried to ban it across Europe. It's only become fashionable since to talk about the post '80s suggested humour...

It's about time Tom Sullivan is being imortalised on film for his work ..... he really is underated for his work on ( especially) The Evil Dead as well as ED2 .... he's honest enough to say "and I did some stuff on Army of Darkness" .... I can't wait to watch this. Please keep us posted Elise ...

Good point ... and I have to confess I still haven't played Regeneration. I'll get round to that one day or hopefully someone will bring out an emulator.

The newest issue # 323 of Fangoria magazine has an Evil Dead F/X feature article NAH .... I'm guessing they've chosen this issue number deliberately because Fangoria # 23 had the infamous original The Evil Dead front cover and included their first ever printed 'The Evil Dead' report    :wink ...

I'm hoping fans of the remake are right and I've just had a knee jerk reaction because it's different .. a bit too moody for me (and I liked ED1 the best out the three partly because it had the least comedy in it) ... I suppose taking your friend to detox doesn't allow for many light hearted...
