My best guess is that they got blocked on rights issues and went with whatever's cheaper.  "Back in Black" indicates a turn toward Evil for Ash which is why it's not fitting (or a return to demonslaying - at which point they should've used it in the pilot).

That's the thing about them delivering the show so late to the European market; you know that there are hundreds of people who did the same thing you did during the five week delay.  I obviously don't specifically encourage torrenting and don't do it myself, but everyone and their mother knows...

Yikes, this is why I'm waiting for practical media.  You could buy the whole season and lose it through DRM issues, and buying individual episodes for about $1.99/$2.50 apiece would be a thousand times cheaper. I have no idea why they're not going there.

@Hurley - there's a strong possibility they'll lean in that direction; depends on how big the budget is at this point. It turns out Starz listed Ash vs Evil Dead's finale as a repeat so it didn't make the chart: it scored a 0.21 with 508K, which means it's around the 33rd most watched program...

I actually need to re-watch AOD to double-check that one; I know that the line's slightly looped, between the US theatrical and the UK release.

In my case, I'd want access to alternate takes, deleted scenes and vocal loops if I were to redo the whole series with an edit. It's likely the show will get a three disc release and the episodes will line up in those same three episode chunks on the disc, so there's no need to really redo it...

Cheers to everyone's hard work! And yep, there's concept art as an unlockable for Regeneration, that much I know for sure - I'm pretty sure HTTK has the same.
