RE: Evil Dead Television Series My Very Loose Theory is that Ash dies for a bit and goes to limbo, where he sees her. MTE tho, I'd like to think that there's an episode in the future where Ash imagines what it would've been like if Cheryl, Linda etc lived.

And it's arguable that everything that happens in the AOD prologue happens differently from the point where Ash lops off his own hand (he pins it with his own knee instead of a knife; he reads the passage himself and there's no Annie, etc, which I think teacherpeter pointed out in another...

There's a big, comprehensive list of the differences between each version released of the movie over on Book of the Dead, if you want to compare specs side by side! I'd personally go with Ultimate Edition/25th Anniversary or BOTD/Boomstick ed, because those are the most comprehensive.

RE: Army of Darkness/Evil Dead Comic Discussion Thread! You can buy them legally through digital means if you like for sure; I know Comixology has a great deal of the Dynamite library for sale.  I think Goat's Head has digital downloads too, and if this is successful enough they might do GNs.

Since there's an elaborate scenario I'm actually pretty convinced that this will actually end up being a heist movie.  Which sounds kind of derivative of "Wait Until Dark".

It's an interesting theory; the new series is supposed to knit everything together into a single timeline but I'm perfectly okay with it making no linear sense at this point.  Leave me my favorite corner of continuity and I won't complain (much). Annie is, by the way, mentioned and is a boss...

RE: Evil Dead Television Series My wild mass guess is that Universal cut them off at the knees re characters/setting/footage for AOD, but they got the right to certain phrases (Boomstick, which is probably enough of a popular colloquialism that they can get away with it) and can fudge the rest...
