Any books or novels with similar monsters or themes to evil dead?

Hello All,

First time poster, looking for horror novels similar to evil dead but not necessarily franchise material. I haven't read the army of darkness/ evil dead comics yet but I am hoping to get to them soon. Looking more for a stand alone novel with a similar theme or elements to evil dead; isolated cabin, ancient evil tomes, deadite type monsters, etc.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

H.P. Lovecraft invented the Necronomicon and I love most of his stuff, but it is not really the pure Evil Dead experience (as long as you want dark humor, gore, deadites etc.).

Agreed - I am a big Lovecraft fan but am looking for more like occult horror and demons and isolated cabin type vibes than Lovecraft's genre which I think is largely labeled as "Strange" or "Cosmic" horror. I do love me some HP Lovecraft though!
