Evil Dead Ghana bootleg posters

Apparently Ghana had a travelling cinema back in the day and they'd get local artists to create posters for showings of bootleg films .. you'll need to scroll down a little to find The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness ones .. they're dreadful but still a part of Evil Dead history non the less ..

I think I've written about this before here .... my best mate went to India just over 20 years ago and saw that Evil Dead 2 was showing at the local village cinema so he went to re-watch it for fun. As we traditionally eat popcorn in the west at cinemas, they ate fried chicken's feet in a basket. He told me that when the intense scenes were playing, the crowd would throw the feet at the screen in appreciation, not just a small group but most of the audience !   ... it can't have been much fun being the owner.
