Starting this thread to see who else has some great ideas for the show, new direction, or even something they would like to see done.

I just had this great idea if when they reach the cabin, we have Ash meet a younger version of himself. Even if it's still enchanted by the book of evil, The rest of Ash'es team could see what he was like as a younger self in his prime. Maybe something that the book could do if they get another translator to bring about another helper from the book. We could get a look a like for young Ash.

I would also like to see the hand reattach to ash and he finally gets his hand back.

- One trip or arc where they head back to the Medieval world in AOD.

- Ash has to slay a bunch of Deadites in a more urban setting. A museum? A theater?

- One of the tiny ashes from AOD is out there causing mayhem and they have to stop it. Cue a fleet of tiny Pablos and Kellys.

In the ruins of Kandar castle.

In the latest episode Ash said he need to destroy this evil where it all begin.  We all think about the cabin but in fact everything began when the dark ones wrote the book. So it must be in this castle because this is where the book belong not the cabin.

I found this interesting piece of scenario from Evil Dead 2 (seem to be an early draft)...Just look at the part I highlighted in red.

EXT. KANDAR CASTLE - DUSK - 4 WARRIORS - 4 HORSES     5

CAMERA panning down to reveal a magnificent newly built
castle of stone.  Bright banners fly from its turrets.
An ox grazes nearby.  4 Warriors on horseback in the BG.

                             NARRATOR (V.O.)
It was then that the dark spirits
again rose up to battle the living.

The ground in front of the castle begins to split apart.
A red glow and smoke pour from the growing crevice.
Something evil is being unleashed.  A strong wind kicks
up blowing sand in a furious rage.

5A    EXT. KANDAR CASTLE - DUSK                             5A
     TRACKING SHOT - ASH

Through the blowing silt, a lone figure appears.  An
image of power and light.  His clothing is ragged,
and he holds what appears to be a jagged toothed
longsword.  Two massive columns of stone stand on
either side.  CAMERA slowly moves closer, but his face
is still hidden by the darkness and blowing sands.

                             NARRATOR (V.O.)
It is said that a hero came from the
sky.  A man who defeated this evil and
buried the Book in the Castle of Kandar.

And there it lay for 700 years...

                                            DISSOLVE THRU TO:

6     EXT. CASTLE OF KAN DAR - DAY - RUINS                  6

As the raging dust storm clears to reveal the same
castle which we saw earlier, but now, in a ruined state.
It has aged 700 years.  The ox is gone.  Now only its
petrified skeletal remains stand in a weathered heap.

                             NARRATOR (V.O.)
              ...Waiting.

A four wheel drive vehicle roars PAST THE CAMERA and
     toward the castle.

7     INT. CASTLE OF KAN DAR - DAY - (STUDIO)               7
     TRACKING SHOT

The CAMERA slowly tracks in toward the Book of the
Dead as it sits in the darkness of the stone tomb.
Next to it rests the KANDARIAN DAGGER, an ancient
knife, its handle fashioned from the skull of a
weasel. They rest upon a small pedestal covered
with cobwebs. Prominently displayed on the stone wall,
a bas relief of the "Hero from the Sky" holding his
     unusual jagged edged weapon.

Now that makes me want them to actually go off the continent. Did we ever get an explanation as to how a book filled with Sanskrit written in ancient Sumeria actually ended up in a British castle in the 1300s? I always assumed it ended up there because of the crusades.

The origins of the book is a great idea. Maybe we get to find out how these beings came to be. They were not entirely human and not entirely demon. Interesting origin story anyone?

Since we already have a general source for how the Dark Ones created the thing I kind of really want to track it from that point to England, at the very least.  And find out how the dark ones became the "things that were before and shall be again."

We need at least one "one man show" episode, where Ash gets separated from the group and is then terrorised by the Evil on his own. Just like in the old days.

But maybe we'll see that already this year in the cabin.

Episode 8 my friend,episode 8  ;)

There's just so much interesting mythology and backstory to mine. Unfortunately, I think the budget for the show really limits what they can actually do. If the show goes on for a couple more seasons I have a feeling the setting will be pretty much the same as it is now. They really seem to be basing this show on Supernatural and Buffy, so I think it will follow a similar path to those shows. I already said in a previous thread that my idea for the perfect Evil Dead TV series would be to always leave the characters screwed and thrown into a new setting by the end of each season, pretty much like the ending to ED2 and the original ending to AoD. This way each season would take place in a completely different setting. They could go to Castle Kandar, revisit AoD's medieval setting (if they could work out the rights issues), dive more into the history of the dark ones and witness the making of the book when "the seas ran red with blood" and even maybe return to the original post-apocalyptic ending to AoD at some point. I always hoped that if they were to continue the story from the movies that they would follow the original ending to AoD, even if deep down I always knew it would never happen. I would love it if they did that on a future season of the show.

So, end of this series, they go to the cabin to bury the book... except it doesn't originate there so that doesnt deal with the problem.

So series 2, they go to England to find Castle Kandar, so they can bury it where Professor Knowby found it. (The actors don't have to travel that far as New Zealand can easily pass for England. Better than California did in Army of Darkness anyway! I got the idea it was supposed to be a colony in the middle-east when I first saw it!)

Have lots of fun and mayhem fighting English deadites and meeting kooky characters with plummy or Mockney accents (played by Americans and Kiwis)-

Kelly: Gonna send you back to hell you undead Limey mutha---
Aristocratic Deadite: Now now. She's a live philly, isn't she, wot wot! Kindly put down that meat tenderiser, young lady, wash your mouth out with soap and water, and hold still while I suck your soul.
Kelly: Suck on this!
<crunch>
Aristocratic Deadite: By Jove!

There'll probably be an encounter with a human cult who have been trying to get the book for their own nefarious ends for centuries. (Not the members we meet personally. The cult.) The leader will probably be a real English actors because Americans like making us play bad guys.

Lots of chaos later, end of series episode they find the ruins of Castle Kandar in Brighton, and... oh no. Burying it there doesn't work either. See it came from a smelly graveyard originally , didn't it....

Another series, this time questing for the graveyard... (or this could be part of the same series as it's still in England. Maybe a mid season twist?)

Then burying it at the graveyard... no you have to bury it in the middle east in the location of ancient Sumeria.... which is in modern day Iraq, by the way.

Next series, location... getting a bit controversial now...

My toungue is firmly in my cheek writing this, by the way.

I actually feel like that's something they'd do at this point, honestly.

(Also the idea of extremely posh Deadite skeletons is highly amusing to me, why I don't know).
