New Evil Dead Maze at Universal Horror Nights?

I've got a friend who knows various castmembers down at Universal, and word is it's going to be remake-only.

There's also a rumor that they're going to get a walk-through cabin, but nothing concrete's been released and confirmed besides the announcement of the Cabin in the Woods house.

Thanks for sharing  :) ..

.. you wait thirty years for an Evil Dead attraction then two come along at once! (if you don't count that Evil Dead float about 10 years ago) ..

.. MaidofKandar, through your Universal castmember friends, you should try to get a gig performing on that, even if it's just for one day!  :bigsmile

Just got an email from Universal Studios:

Evil Dead comes to Halloween Horror Nights 2013 at Universal Studios in Hollywood, CA and Orlando, Florida. The most terrifying film becomes the most terrifying maze when the Evil Dead maze opens this September 20th only at Halloween Horror Nights.

Looks like fun Kain .. I'd also love to see someone with more money than sense rebuild/reconstruct a replica cabin and workshed on the site of the original movie ... okay, the remains of the chimney would have to be moved before it decays completely .. Planet Hollywood is probably asking too much? and hopefully with one of the original bricks being built into the new chimney  :wink, but our cabin is as famous as the Phsyco and Texas Chainsaw houses surely ! ? ..

@Swofty - Heh!  She's an old friend who lives in Florida, but I'm miles away - wouldn't be feasible :)

That just saved me an air ticket thanks  :wink ...

.. I wish the UK still put as much heart in these things as the US does: .. the last three ghost houses I went through should have been closed down under the trade description act ... completely empty wooden corridors painted black, a flashing strobe light if you're lucky, 'terrifying' string hanging from the ceiling and that's it ..  and the occasional painted vacu-formed skeleton as the pay off .. at the end ...... bastards.

I remember going into one in Sutton Park as a little kid in the 70's and was hanging in there until I got to a coffin sized glass case with a realistic dummy and loads of real tarantulas crawling all over it .. freaked out and ran back out the entrance with everyone laughing .. we've stopped being scary enough with our horror houses . :angryfist

Here are full tours for the Orlando house.  It's interesting how both are slightly different, even though they tell the same story.

RE LA: wow, their Natalie is really good.

My friend also took an "Unmasking the Horror" tour at the Orlando cabin and here is her report, complete with close-up pictures of the props and sets used in the house!
