New Zealand-based stuntwoman Becca Bardsley (Greta van den Brink's double) has posted some behind the scenes material from Evil Dead Burn!

Watching the Rob interview right now and he says they have "plans for a spin-off of this universe" that will be low-budget... so Evil Dead may be getting the "Conjuring Cinematic Universe" treatment.
Also: He says the mid-credits scene was added after early test screenings and people asked what happened to Polly. So it sounds like the post-credits scene was something they had planned for the get-go, and the mid-credits was made later.

Coco White who played the daughter was celebrating her birthday too when they shot the last scene.

Some other interesting tidbit from Rob's interview: apparently the reason StudioCanal UK and Sony are distributing in international markets is because they've "had the rights to the next Evil Dead movie since 1982." I guess that means StudioCanal UK has somehow picked up whatever distribution deal Palace Pictures used to have?

Official listings for a Region-free EVIL DEAD BURN 4K UHD ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S EDITION from StudioCanal have appeared online. Bonus material included with the set include replica storyboards, replica Book of The Dead pages, alternate poster cards, a production notes book, and two posters. I legit think I'm cancelling my Burn SteelBook order and getting this set instead!

Not thrilled about them doing spin offs, but I'm intrigued to see a low-budget movie made again in the vain of The Evil Dead. Might spark a bit more creativity from whoever directs it

Here's that word again. What does it mean to be an Evil Dead spin-off, exactly? That it won't have Ash? Well, none of the new movies have Ash. That it won't have the Necronomicon? Burn didn't have the Necronomicon. That it's gonna be in a new location with a new set of characters? Again, that's all of the new movies.

The only thing I can think of (other than the term is meaningless in this context) is that it won't have any demons in it, which… surely that's not what he meant.

Out of curiosity, I did a deep dive this morning and was able to figure out what exactly the deal is:

>Palace Pictures owned the UK distribution of ED1 & 2 from 1982 until they close in 1990
>Polygram Video picks up the rights from 1992 until they close around 1997/1998
>ED1 & 2 are not lumped in with Polygram's sale of their pre-1996 catalog to MGM, and somehow gets sold to Optimum Releasing
>Somewhere after Polygram goes under, ED1 is separated from the deal, and presumably those rights go back to Sam Raimi personally
>Optimum Releasing owns ED2 from 1998 to 2006, being sold to the brand-new StudioCanal UK
>StudioCanal UK now has the United Kingdom theatrical and home video distribution of everything but ED1 and AOD

This is my thought. Aren't all of theae spin-offs already? Especially Burn, being a soft sequel like it is.

replica Book of The Dead pages
I want the page for research purposes.

Hard to call it an Evil Dead spin off without anything evil and dead in it, but it could consist of new stories for people we already know like Kelly and Pablo for instance.

Evil Dead Part 2: Grandma harder!

Watched Burn for the third time, and I'm really starting to enjoy it as an imperfect Evil Dead film. Maybe my standards and expectations were just incredibly high for ED13 and Rise, which hindered my enjoyment of them, but Sebastien's vision makes a little more sense to me every time. Still flawed, still not entirely logical, still not moving up in my tier list past my 2nd least favorite film. But I've had fun watching it for what it is

Halloween Horror Nights has added two more bits of exclusive EVIL DEAD BURN merch: a new t-shirt which gives off major "shirtless shirt" vibes and a chainsaw shaped bag... which is really weird considering nobody uses a chainsaw in the movie...
ANOTHER Evil Dead Burn HHN shirt has dropped (well, "coming soon" as of the posting of this) and it's... not... terrible? I mean, it's not my cup of tea but it's already better than the one that just has the bloody pen and the fan logo on it. Major "they could have sold this at Hot Topic or Spencer's Gifts" vibes.

If we're talking distribution only, on my shelf at the moment are VHS and laser disc/ DVD/UMD releases from:

4 Front Video
Elite Entertainment
The Sun Newspaper - Horror Classics
Anchor Bay
INITIAL distribution (France)
UNIVERSAL
Guild Home Video

.. that's just the ones I've got to hand so StudioCanal have certainly not had the rights since 1982.
