I'm guessing this mean Chet's a goner.  Which is bound to be fun, because Ted's an amazing Deadite.

It's the combination of whatever he's done to his hair in the off season and his slightly thicker eyebrows, I think

Bruce RE Season 2's Soundtrack after being asked for more titles.

"Season 2 is all over it like a cheap suit."

So another jukebox sountrack. I'd really rather more of JLD's score.

Also, when asked if Michael Hurst will see any screen time this season:

"I would be delighted to cut Michael's head off with a chainsaw any time."

If they ever remake No Escape Bruce would be an excellent choice for Robbins.

I saw Michael Hurst was re-tweeting a bunch of pics from Xena and Hercules episodes with Bruce in them, and Bruce is ready to hack him to bits, haha.

That picture = the most perfect encapsulation of those character's relationship I've seen ever!

RE the interview: A lot to process.  I'm guessing from the look of the command center, what Bruce describes stuntwise and the big old Michigan State plaque behind him that they end up in some kind of government defense position and has to go paramilitary on some demons?  Are they shooting episode 9 now?  This feels like a big finale sort of thing.

Surprise returning characters could be just about anyone from ED2 or TED; we've seen Linda; if I had to bet, I'd say either Annie or Cheryl.  If they go through a whole season WITHOUT bringing up Cheryl, I will be fucking pissed.

(Also what did Bruce do to his hair?  It does not look good, whatever it is).

They're really pushing hard for that Emmy (Is Starz trying to drum up attention to make the money they spent on the show worth it?  You'd think they'd be going with easier bets, like Outlander, Power, or Patrick Stewart in Blunt Talk) but even Golden Derby has everyone at 100/1 odds as of today, and voting beings in two weeks.  A Golden Globe feels way more likely to me and easier to obtain, but I'm not holding my breath.  You know how the Awards scene likes to stagnate its picture over a period of years.

Heres a huge panel that ray, dana and ted did at the Armageddon expo in Wellington, alot of stuff to digest from it. such as the stair story from dana and the extremely bloody scene with her and ray.

I'm guessing that means they'll fully wrap in the next week or so.  Bruce has been taking some bookings for late July, so I wouldn't be surprised if everything's completed and ready by the second week of the month.

Clicking on the second link shows off a nice letter from Sam, Bruce and Rob to their crew.

That's probably contingent on either how good the DVD sales are in August or how well the show performs from Sept-November.

RE: Ash vs Evil Dead Season 2 Pre-Prod Discussion Thread [SPOILERS]

Here's a huge article from ign about season 2 and i'm really loving the premise they have for season 2 sounds a lot better then season 1

And heres a major highlight from this article that puts one mystery to bed.

It takes a while for the current state of the world to weigh on Ash and make him realize he might have made the wrong choice at the end of Season 1. His goal is to return home and get back to his father (Lee Majors) in Elk Grove, Mich., and it's there that he'll have to deal with the pesky problem of the Evil Dead.

and it sounds like ruby will be joining the ghostbeaters aswell to help undue her mess.

Lucy Lawless's character Ruby adds a wrinkle to their trio dynamic by offering a different perspective on things. Now that the mystery of Ruby's identity has been revealed, Ash vs Evil Dead can explore who she is and what her motivations are -- including why she and Ash need to become unlikely partners to defeat Ruby's enemies.
"Ruby is, really, the root of all their problems, but she's completely dismissed that. She is in complete denial that she is the whole problem. She's just your friendly neighborhood psychopath, and they have to work with her, try to put her demon spawn back in the box," said Lucy Lawless with a big laugh. "She's learning how to behave like a human, and she often succeeds! And, not infrequently, she doesn't."
As much as Season 2's end goal continues to be to defeat the Deadites and send Ruby's demon children back into the ground, each episode is going play around with different horror conceits in a manner unique to Evil Dead. While I was in New Zealand the crew was filming an asylum episode -- shot at the notoriously haunted Kingseat Hospital near Auckland -- that had a number of people in the cast and crew seeing ghosts and coming home terrified.

Wait there's going to be a episode in a asylum  HOLY SHIT can't wait to see that episode, overall i am loving all the stuff i've heard from this article.

Hmmmm.   On one hand yay, Ash isn't from Florida.  On the other hand, how much time are we going to spend in Florida waiting for him to make an emotional turn-around?   I like the idea of him being so loyal to his dad, or perhaps wanting to impress him that much.   It's hard to know where the line is for Ash when it comes to how much he's supposed to care about people.

The mix of genres might be a good development (adding variety).  But it could make the lack of cohesion between the episodes worse than it already was.

At least there seems to be some sort of thoughtline with Ruby now.  I still don't know why an ancient demon wouldn't be super happy that the world's going to (literal) hell all around her, so her becoming an ally is an odd choice.  At least they foreshadowed it in the season finale.

i have a feeling that the first episode is going to be him coming to terms with what he did and at the end of it decides to head back to Michigan to save his father. The other thing i liked hearing is that there trying to correct the missteps they had in season 1, it's good to hear they knew a few things weren't quite right with the first season and hopefully they corrected it.

SHOT IN THE DARK THEORY

I wonder if ruby will teach pablo some spells as she seemed keen on the shaman culture when she went inside tio's house so it makes me wonder if ruby won't act as a second teacher to him if she is indeed teaming up with them for season 2

That'd be perfectly acceptable.  And I really like that second theory; they need to integrate Ruby into things somehow, and I desperately want something to be done with Pablo's shamanism versus making him the series' chewtoy.  That was one of the best plot threads that got dropped mid-season.

The Pablo stuff's been lightly hinted at RE the Shamanism, and the brujo necklace last season; at least they're going to do something with this.

Ash fighting internal organs might explain why we had an autopsy scene in that BTS pictures leak.

I am afraid to find out what the fuck the robotic hand scene is.

Also I'm super tired of LOL Ash screws up.  That's a character flaw, but FFs must we keep going back to the same well?  Do it once, it's the premise of the series.  Do it too many times and it looks like he's bashing his head against a wall.

Here's a interview with bruce campbell that took place last night at the Saturn awards, he teases some stuff about season 2 and what he said about pablo has got me excited  :D

The Pablo stuff's been lightly hinted at RE the Shamanism, and the brujo necklace last season; at least they're going to do something with this.

Yea now that bruce has hinted at what might be instore for pablo this season, it's got me more hyped for this season more then anything.

It sounds like to me brock is gonna bring attention to his hand and ash is gonna reply back with some refrence to the bionic man or something like that, as for the ash screws up thing, with the info we've been given so far of s2 i have a feeling were gonna see ash develop somewhat as a character this season, but until then whatever happens happens *shrug* plus bruce did say they might prevail this time around this season but i ain't gonna hold his word to it.

The thing i'm curious about right now is who is the main antagonist for this season, my moneys on rubys children being the main enemies.
