That's right the man the myth and legend has released a brand new book on Amazon called Reconcile. Inspired by Zane Grey novels that Bruce's mom loved to read to him as a kid and doddle on the margins of her collection this story is like no other. Think of Brisco County Jr but with a twist here and there. I just ordered my copy and can't wait to see what happens if you want your copy here is a link to it you can get it on kindle or paperback.

I am interested in reading this, but I will never buy a physical copy if the AI cover will be the only cover available. I didn't believe MaidOfKandar when she said that Bruce is on the genAI train but sadly she was right.

As a fan of the guy for 20 plus years - trust me, I wish I were wrong, but lying isn't my bag and I know the Yellow Tinted Monster when I see it. This is the first time he's used it for something that's not ha ha funny jokes though.

Honestly, he went to the trouble of hiring a digital artist, why not just pay for a painting?

The fact that a "graphic artist" made this is much worse and weirder than if this was 100% AI. Almost feels like Bruce got taken advantage of by some asshole who collected a paycheck but then just ran a prompt through ChatGPT.

The other option could be that the artist just used AI as a basic concept (which is also bad, but not as bad) and Bruce said that he's happy with the result and that it doesn't need any more work. This is what happened with the album cover for Iron Maiden's Dance of Dead, where the artist made a very barebones digital concept for the band to approve that the band for some reason liked so much that they just took the concept version and ran with it, after witch the artist asked for their name to be removed from the project.

The one good thing that might come out of this is that Bruce will see the backlash this is creating and it will make him to change course, but who knows.
 
Well AI cover or not, I want to read Bruce's new book and see what is all about. I'm worried myself if I hire someone to do my fannovel cover because I was thinking to sell physical copies at cons but they won't let me due to the cover might be AI or not.

There are 100 percent always ways to get around this kinda stuff, too! We know the money's there!

I would be very careful about that because Universal might come after you. I don't know Sam's policy on this but Universal has not been happy about stuff like that.

They have blocked several AOD video clips we have posted on our Instagram account a few times.

I remember them getting tetchy about several fan-created things, too. It's all very Big Corproate.
 
I'm glad he decided to make that right because whew.
