Evil Dead Burn | Official Thread

That's really strange. I wonder if someone misspoke at the CinemaCon showcase and they had to quickly rectify that announcement as soon as articles started coming out.
A video call from Sam is when the wrong date was announced, and Sam Raimi Updates commented/reported that it was to the sound of Bark at the Moon which I'm guessing the Ozzy song was playing while the call was going on.

The trailer for Evil Dead Burn WILL INDEED be before Lee Cronin's The Mummy... but apparently it's different than the one shown at CinemaCon!
Oh hey, would you look at that, it's the actual logo that we saw months ago on the clapboard and director's chair photos and not that fake one that used the wrong Evil Dead font that people kept trying to pass as totally legit.

Very grindhouse looking title!

Quite a few people on Reddit who saw The Mummy today said they had no trailer. What are the chances the trailer will be on YouTube tomorrow?

I wonder which markets are getting it.

Perplexed by there being multiple trailers for this movie unless it is a green/red trailer type deal, but I'm seeing that some theaters may choose not to play such trailers during early screenings.

Lots of trailers get released on Friday, so I'd say we're getting it today, hopefully.

Though I like it that it played in cinemas before it gets online. It's a very old school approach and as it should always be, I think. There's something magical about watching a trailer without knowing what it's really for. Games still kinda have this if you watch the live events, but for movies it's mostly dead, sadly.

I'm not sure if I'm seeing it correctly:
but is one of the Deadites levitating, like Henrietta or Ed did?
Very cool if so.

Also if I disapprove something more than shooting stuff on your phone in the cinema, then it's shooting stuff on your phone in the cinema VERTICALLY. I mean Jesus Christ…

Evil Dead Burn refuses to be outdone by Wrath at CinemaCon, and has been moved according to AMC's website from a July 24th opening day to July 10th. A full 2 weeks earlier.

Sorry, I'm not feeling it, guys. It looks like a boring deadite battle royale movie that takes place in an apartment.

Well, it feels very stereotypical Evil Dead. My current verdict: It's OK
