Evil Dead Figures Thread

NECA please release Evil Ed by himself. How many dang times am I going to end up owning that same Ash figure?

I hope they release the Ash again separately as well lol, I really want an Evil Dead 2 Ash figure but I don't especially want an Evil Ed figure. My girlfriend got me an Ash vs Evil Dead Neca figure of Ash, I want to get every version of Ash eventually!

NECA just posted a sneak peek at their upcoming Evil Dead 40th Anniversary Ash figure:

I don't know something is wrong with this figure...The face for sure and the shoulders + body seems odd...Looking more like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

It's a very cromagnon take on Ash's features IMO. Less Bruce than David Hasselhoff.

HAH! To be fair, he's lost some baby fat since he was 21.

Hello everyone,

I don't want to create a topic for my custom figures and painted miniatures, so I've decided to share my pictures with you in this one instead :)

I did a quick repaint of the Neca AvsED ASH, in order to make it looks like an Older Ash (Similar to somes pictures of Leader Ash from Evil Dead the Game). The headscuplts from Neca are, IMO, very good in general, but the paint job ruins the figure sometimes...

Here's a before/ after picture. The lightining I used for the pictures make it looks way older than in real life.

I also did a quick custom with my Palisades Ash figure. I replaced the head with a sized-down 3print of the sideshow figure. Then I painted the head, the neck and the left hand :

I also painted some miniatures

  • the first one is a vintage official miniature from the leading edge Army of Darkness boardgame. It's an amazing tiny figure (28mm scale).

  • the second one is "Groovy Guy" from Klukva Miniature (30 mm scale), with a lot of alternate heads.

  • the last one is Oakley from Hasslefree miniature (32mm scale)

I hope you'll like them ! C&C are welcome :)

I also painted almost all figures from the Evil Dead boardgame (but I was a beginner at that time and my figures are pretty ugly :p) !

Here is mine, a Funko Pop Chase Edition of Ash (Evil Dead 40th Anniversary) Bloody Chase Variant.

It is signed by Bruce Campbell and Authenticated, Encapsulated and Conserved.

Those figures are great Eklas, and wow, those chase figs are still hard to find on the secondary, xage, cheers on finding it!

Got the NECA Ultimate Ash for my birthday!

First I was a tiny bit disappointed that he doesn't go with his chainsaw hand, but if I could choose between this one and Hero Ash that has the chainsaw hand, I would still pick this one. Hero Ash looks more like a figure because you see lots of joints on his arm and torso and also the Ultimate head sculpt is much better in my opinion. Really spot on!

I've always liked the scared facial expression on this figure, whoever did it did a great job. Almost every other Ash figure sticks with the fixed heroic type expression instead but there's emotion in this one.

Yes, the expression is truly amazing.

There is one weird thing about this figure, though. Everything is top notch and really accurate to the movie (to the point of the "arm stump" actually looking just like a clenched fist wrapped in a duck tape). But for some reason, the Necronomicon in this set has the design from Army of Darkness, not Evil Dead 2, even though the Hero Ash has the right look for the book. Weird.

Noice!

I agree with you, this expression really captures Ash's essence !

For the book, didn't they simply reuse the Necronomicon that came with Medival Ash from AoD ?

I hope I don't bother you with my repaints, but here's the last ones I did, with a comparison after/ before shot (the before pics aren't mine) :

Even if they are not screen accurate, both sculpt on asylum ash are my favorites, they capture the Old Ash's vibes and they don't have as many wrinkles as Hero/Value Stop Ash figures.

It's been a while but there's a new Army of Darkness 1/4 statue from a new company called Syndicate Collectables as seen at SDCC 2023:

Interesting! Appears to be an AOD licensed statue judging from the base and the Pit Witch!

Syndicate Collectibles is also working on a full-sized wearable AOD Chainsaw prop: https://bloody-disgusting.com/toys/...ashs-chainsaw-hand-from-the-evil-dead-movies/

Painted digital mock-up: https://www.instagram.com/officialsyndicatecollectibles/p/C0uxGeDgvEP/

According to the comments on the video post, it's going to be around $150. Sure it's not 100% accurate, but it's passable for what it is and that kind of price.

Only 150? I don't mind that. I was honestly expecting it to be around 500 dollars.
