Evil Dead: The Game

I do wanna point out the dev's who are making this one are the same team who did World War Z which ended up being a very fun co-op game. If they can apply what they did there with this game, it's gonna be a fun game to add to the collection for the evil dead community. Another thing as well is these part's of the description.

Work together as a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, crafting, managing your fear, and finding key artifacts to seal the breach between worlds.

Battle across memorable locations including the infamous cabin in the woods, brought to life with tons of terrifying visuals and all-new dialogue from Bruce Campbell.

Now if it's being made by the same people who did WWZ, i think there's gonna be a strong chance there will be some story sprinkled into this game if they had the cast from AvED come in and record new lines including Bruce.

Speaking of that, i do believe Dana and Ray talked about doing some V/O work so i guess that means Pablo will be in this as well, i do wonder if they got Scotty and Arthurs orginal actors to come back and do some dialog as well.

Man this is gonna be such a fever dream seeing all these characters from each entry interact with each other.

Glossy.

I'm not too into seeing that sell out Scotty coming back, the rest of it looks good though.

Wasn't scotty dead!?

I'd much prefer a single player game, where you can explore the environment and play at your own pace, like HTTK. This seems more like the Friday the 13th online PVP game which I played for a few hours then gave up on. You're just stuck in an area with a bunch of random stranger all being bell-ends. I play games to GET AWAY from people like that!

Judging from the description, i don't think it's gonna be like the F13th game at all. I think the pvp option is gonna be something similar to L4D versus mode that adds a extra layer of difficulty with a player controlled kandarian demon and the co-op only option is gonna be focused on survival and fighting through deadites in a iconic location from the franchise to seal off/banish the on-coming deadite horde from where they are coming from which is very much in line with the franchise, and will be something similar to a l4d campaign.

Well, I never expected an Evil Dead game to be a AAA title and it never has been. It just going to be a hack n' slash game which fit the style. I prefer a good playable game with no story, than a bad game with a good story (ED: Hail to the king). I would have prefer a single player game too, but I guess the studio didn't have the budget of a Capcom Resident Evil team to developp a game.

This looks surprisingly awesome. Was kind of expecting something crap when this game got unveiled but this trailer definitely has me actually hyped for an Evil Dead game. It's been awhile but this looks fantastic so far.

Hail to the King is 20 years old as of December, but it has been 17 years since Fistful of Boomstick and 15 since Regeneration was released. That is a long time between games when Fistful of Boomstick showed a lot of promise to continue as a series if the developer and THQ who was involved in all of the other games didn't shut down.

I will be incredibly upset if we don't get to play as the ladies of the Evil Dead doing things like stabbing people in the ankle with a pencil, or as Jake as a tribute to Danny even if he wasn't able to do the voice for him.

To agree with Nick, I've been saying it on Twitter - I NEED to play Cheryl with vine-controlling powers or Sheila with magical powers (or just posessing a huge frickin' sword!).

It's nice that the disparate licenses are FINALLY coming together on a thing!

Just spotted this while watching the trailer again.

As far as i'm concerned, this basically confirms Pablo's inclusion in the game. I'm gonna go look through the trailer again in a while to see if there isn't anymore hidden info to gleam.

I never notice the Brujo's medallion because the eye is drawn to the Necronomicon, or the burning candle... but the picture of Annie and the shot of the cellar door gives me hope we will see all of them and Henrietta both possessed and otherwise.

Damn! I thought there were more information...Bloody Disgusting only post another article witth the same information they previously released. They only added more comments about the 2013 remake and the voice acting.

The game will feature co-op and PvP action, and looks to include not only Bruce Campbell’s Ash but also Dana DeLorenzo‘s Kelly Maxwell from the Starz series “Ash vs. Evil Dead”, Marcus Gilbert‘s Arthur from Army of Darkness, Richard DeManincor‘s Scotty from The Evil Dead, and even Ash’s cameo-hungry 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale.

Note that the Sony-distributed Evil Dead from 2013 is not included in that list, which suggests the remake will not have a presence in the game. Then again, ya never know…

Mine was drawn to the spyglass necklace, natch.

This all looks well and good, but wasn't this supposed to be set after the show, with Ash, that woman, and the battle car in the post-apocalyptic future? Or does it still do that somehow?

Nope. It's just a co-op game where you can play as different characters from the Evil Dead franchise.

What happened to all the talk about continuing after the show with the game?

That was just orphaned fans of the show making up an alternate reality of their own and running with it. It starts with the hopeful, innocent and completely unfounded fan hypothesis of "maybe the game could continue the show" that gets passed on and repeated over and over again by more and more people, and just like in a game of telephone, at some point turns into "the game will continue the show!" and even the people who were there at the beginning start to believe it because they want it to be true so badly. Then they get disappointed they didn't get what they wanted even though nothing was ever promised. Just another classic case of people setting themselves up for disappointment.
