Hello everyone!

This is Mike from EvilDeadWorkshed.com. As some of you know, I have a Kickstarter Campaign that ends in less than 4 days. This Kickstarter is being used to fund my Evil Dead II Mobile Museum. I am rewarding contributors with wood, glass and tin roofing from the cabin. I am also giving away Chainsaw props (depending on the contribution). More details about all of the rewards can be seen here:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1489087863/evil-dead-ii-workshed-and-cabin-exhibit

On a side note, I began piecing the original Evil Dead II Workshed back together. It will be unveiled at Tri-Con on June 4th in Huntington WV. The entire Workshed will be setup, along with all of the other artifacts that I recovered from the original set, including the front door of the cabin, which still has fake blood spatter on it.

Here are a few progress photos of the Workshed. Only about 1-2 days of work left and it will be complete.

Thanks for looking and thank you for all of your support.

I also started a Facebook page:

Great work EDW! .. I love your methodical approach to your restoration. We had another poster here a while back who claimed to have both doors of the cabin so that's confusing me a bit? .. good luck with your endeavours.

Thank you. Yes you are correct. If that person was David Bartrug from Norwood NC (Hellbilly1965) then yes he did have both workshed doors (upper and lower), and the cabin front door. I purchased all of what David had after he had contacted me after OPERATION: Evil Dead Uproot. He had the same idea in mind that I did but felt due to what I did that all of the items should remain together. I was able to purchase all of those items off of David. Here are photos of them:

Good to see that everything including the doors will all be together in one place, and needless to say it is amazing to see how this project has come along.

/Standing ovation.

Absolutley. That was the reason I was able to get the remaining items off of Dave. He believed that it should all remain together.

LOL .. sorry Dad/David! .... it looks good so far anyway ..

edit: it came back to me today, you mentioned the doors a while back and people were sceptical and a bit rude in the way they were asking you for proof .. you proved them wrong! I seem to remember you showing me some pics of them (they were in your back yard I think and you said they still had fake blood on them?) or you posted the pics on the board ... either way this was roughly 5 years ago. I remember defending you back then .. I can't find that link sadly but I've found this one .. full respect to both of you for protecting these doors.

Hi David, I haven't been able to read your last post, it seems to only include my quote.

Thanks. The workshed is now complete and will be unveiled tomorrow (6/4/16) along with all of the other artifacts at Tricon in Huntington WV. I will post photos asap.

Hopefully I'm not stepping on any toes by linking this, but here are pictures of the completed workshed plus artifacts at a con!

I never thought I'd see the Evil Dead 2 word shed inside the original Dawn Of The Dead's Monroeville shopping centre ... skip to 14:35 for work shed goodness if you don't want to watch the whole thing .. :) (hopefully this won't re ignite the old "are deadites zombies ?" debate)

I still love that Monroeville tries to keep as much of the old mall as they can alive. That cosplayer is freaking amazing!

Update on The Monroeville Mall, The Living Dead Museum and the ED2 work shed.

The Mall is predicted to be demolished early next year. The Living Dead Museum say they have secured a different location to set up in so I assume they'l be taking therir Evil Dead 2 workshed and other artifacts with them.

Tampa Jay visited the Mall and museum a couple of days ago for the last ever mall tour and has filmed the Evil dead 2 stuff there:

(Skip to 13:10 to get to the Evil Dead 2 display) ...
