An independent Hungarian home video distributor called Gehenna Films will be releasing a limited edition digibook blu-ray of Evil Dead 2 in May, 2026.
Included on the blu-ray itself is a "remastered version of the film (84 mins)", the trailer, picture gallery, as well as the old Swallowed Souls: The Making of Evil Dead 2 documentary and Cabin Fever camcorder footage compilation by Greg Nicotero (both of which come from the 2011 blu-ray release). As far as physical collectibles go, this set comes with a 36 page booklet, a double-sided poster, 4 photo cards, and 4 artcards (which are just recycled art from that European SteelBook from a couple years ago). There will be two separate releases, one with new art by Gyula Havancsák, and one with the classic Graham Humphreys artwork. Both of them will be limited to 250 pieces.
Man, why can't we get cool releases like this in the US?
