Book of the Dead has a new interview with actress, fakes shemp, now author Cheryl Guthridge . Cheryl acted in numerous Super-8 productions, had a leading role in Josh Becker’s feature film; Thou Shalt No Kill… Except, as well as appearing as a Fake Shemp in The Evil Dead.
In a recent interview with Yahoo News,Rob Tapert discusses the Evil Dead remake which from the sound of it he wants completed in 2010:
So are the internet rumours true, do they intend to remake their horror classic, Evil Dead?
“Yes, we do. How easy was that? I just said yes,” he said sounding slightly surprised at himself.
“Sam always said it would be a great thing for somebody to remake because no one has seen it theatrically on a big screen.
“It is a great chance for a young filmmaker to do his thing and bring better effects and better acting to the story.
“Hopefully, we are wholeheartedly committing to getting that done in 2010.
“We are looking for a filmmaker to work with to redevelop the story. We don’t want to do what I call cling block – cling to old things or block new ideas.”

Grindhouse Releasing has released the poster for the Evil Dead theatrical revival, designed by Tad Leger, features rare images from the original movie poster photo shoot by Mike Ditz.
Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has announced details for the Blu-ray release of The Evil Dead. The Blu-Ray will be available on August 31st and retail for $29.97. It will feature a new hi-def transfer supervised and approved by director Sam Raimi and will include an all-new commentary with director Bruce Campbell, producer Robert Tapert, and star Bruce Campbell, behind the scenes footage and outtakes, talent bios, a poster and still gallery, and more.
