Actually, according to Dynamite, the art is by Ben Caldwell!
Jae Lee has done some AOD comics covers though! Specifically for Ash Gets Hitched and Ash and the AOD.
ETA: here is Scott Lobdell's writer's Commentary for Forever...and a Day #1 and his commentary on Issue #3

Another new one from Space Goat:
It’s Christmas Eve and as usual Ash is alone with a TV dinner, a bottle of Bourdon and the Skinimax channel on cable. This silent night gets unholy when Krampus shows up to take away a neighbor kid! It’s up to Ash to ring his silver bells and maybe end up under the mistletoe with a grateful mom. Ian Edginton returns to Evil Dead 2 with this twisted Christmas tale in Evil Dead 2: Revenge of Krampus! Normally not one to poke his nose into others’ business—and for good reason!—Ash ends up learning there’s more than one way to lose.

I definitely can't blame them for taking advantage of the public domain!

The best part of that whole thing is that this isn't the first time they've used Hitler in an ED comic.

To be fair, the writing and art is still better than anything Dynamite's put out at their worst with the AOD license.

Fifth and Sixth Issues of Xena/AOD Forever...And a Day has a cover and blurb!
At last-Ash makes his way back to the exact moment in time where he can stop the threat that almost killed Gabrielle, Xena and all life on planet Earth! But to do so he has to go in undercover as the King of Memphis and hire Xena to help him locate the lost island of Eden. There they meet Larson, the long ago abandoned third wheel to Adam and Eve-he's out for a revenge only a lover scorned can! Can Xena and Ash prevent him from turning Earth into a Garden of Evil?!
Ash met Xena the Newborn! Pirate Xena hired Ash as her first mate! They even fought Nazi Deadites to keep America safe in the final days of World War II! Now all these eclectic encounters have brought them together to battle a threat as old as Mankind in a battle at the end of time! Don't miss the pulse-pounding, warrior-princessing, boom-sticking conclusion to "Forever... And A Day!"

Space Goat is celebrating Evil Dead 2's big anniversary by releasing two new things: Evil Dead 2: Doppleganger war, in which Ash fights multiple versions of himself, and an adult coloring book!
They're also going to be releasing a hardcover omnibus for the main line.
