Love the Ken Haeser cover

And here's the info for the last issue in the series (cover art: Kyle Strahm):

Dynamite is offering a special Remarque'd by the artist copy of the first issue of the Kiss crossover in August. No word yet about the next arc.

We finally have news on the Dynamite line! First week of October, this Halloween-based one-shot will be released!

Blurb: Army of Darkness Halloween Special: When a crazed tour guide raises the spectral remains of the galleon that brought the Necronomicon to America, Ash finally meets the one thing he hates more than Deadites – ghost pirates! It’s chainsaws and broomsticks against cutlasses and muskets, and if Blackbeard’s men can’t have their treasure, the Promised One’s head will have to do! Written by Chad Bowers, Chris Sims, and Benito Cereno with artwork by Eoin Marron and Anthony Marques.

I just come to this section to see how far they could go with Army of Darkness Crossover concept...

I'm still waiting for :

Army of Darkness vs Dukes of Hazzard
Army of Darkness vs Magnum PI
Army of Darkness vs Saturday Night fever
Army of Darkness vs Fraggle Rock
Army of Darkness vs Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS

Unfortunately, I'm still thinking this could lead to something more entertaining than evertyhing above. ;)

My favorite will still be the John Bolton Movie adaptation of Army of Darkness...Still got the 1st wave of AoD Dynamite comics, which I think was good at some point.

I think you've just broken the sarcasm-ometer :p

The Kiss Army of Darkness crossover does not appeal to me at all, but the cover art is appealing.

Army of Darkness/Bubba Ho Tep though... while the cynic in me wants to roll my eyes and shake his head (another cash-grab, etc) ... I do find the idea very interesting.

The worlds are compatible, and could be one, both containing undead entities, magic and slapstick humour (more so in ED/Armies.. case. The humour in Bubba... in generally more gentle, but that whole Scarab scene was pure Evil Dead, I’m sure you’d agree.).

I’ll admit I also get a kick out of the idea of two characters who were played by the same actor meeting. Done the wrong way, it could be cheesball overload, but if Elvis is written with the nuance he is portrayed with in the film (don’t get me wrong, some cheese is fine, even welcome) this could be pretty good. Not that I’m expecting this comic to be a deep reflective work, like Bubba is (nothing wrong with being fun for fun sake).

Well, the Egyptians had a Necronomicon so it actually works.

Hmm. They had a Book of the Dead, that's true, and 'Necronomicon' translates to that ,(although I thing that word is actually Latin).

I guess I don't have a problem with an Eqyptian Book of the Dead being used in the comic. It was the naming 'Necronicon Ho-Tep' that made me wince, but I guess that could just be a nickname Elvis or Ash use for it.

@Sutter Cane - Don't tempt them, Dynamite actually has the Charlie's Angels license right now.

I'm...kind of on the fence about how horrible this might end up being. WHY WOULD ASH TAKE A SOUL-SEARCHING TRIP TO LAS VEGAS IN SEARCH OF ELVIS?! He does not feel like an "Elvis is alive" kinda dude. But at this point, though, I just want a new general new AOD comics canon. I would've gone with an Elvira/AOD crossover before this but eh!
