@Kain Bruce posted a picture of the billboard too; this one's much nicer!

Thank you Nick!

Forgot to post this, but here's a trailer with some slightly new footage in it. *SPOILERS BTW !*

Aww, that father/daughter hug ! Yeah, i think were going to see a more emotional ash williams this season if that wasn't something to go by. Now i'm really looking forward to his eventual breakdown scene whenever that happens.

That was indeed pretty cute!

Bruce interview with MAJOR spoilers in it. Even the title to the article has spoilers, so be careful when you click!

* Everyone dies at least once this season.

* Ash has to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect his family.

* It turns out Ash may have more children because of his frequent donations to sperm banks. The Ghost Beaters try to track the kids down and protect his samples at the sperm bank (which is what leads to the jizz battle).

* Ash ends up being sent into the FUTURE to battle evil. So it's possible that the apocalyptic street scenes are of a future Elk Grove that occurs because Ash isn't alive/there are no blood successors to him.

* More complaints about fans downloading shit illegally. "The good news is we have rabid fans. The bad news is these fuckers download shit and don’t pay for it." Jenniferlawrenceokaysign.gif

* There's a scene where Ruby's demon baby controls a headless corpse from the inside, Kraang-style.

Kain beat me to it, but here's the capsule subs for eps 3-5:

Ruby reveals herself to Ash as she tries to strengthen her bond with Brandy to defeat The Prophesied One. Meanwhile, Pablo and Dalton continue to spar, unsure of one another.

Brock warns Ash of an otherworldly hurricane brewing. Ash and Pablo make a discovery at the hardware store. Kelly and Brandy face a familiar foe.

Ruby’s house of horrors reveals her master plan as well as a little bundle of joy that terrorizes Ash. Pablo’s Brujo ties bring him back to the path he needs to take to reveal his true destiny in the battle against evil.

And the titles for episodes 6-7

Tales from the Rift
Twist and Shout

Ratings are in and season 3 premiere came in with only about half the ratings of the season 2 premiere:

230,000

There is no way this show won't be immediately canceled and now I'm pretty damn sad. ;(

What can ya do, starz didn't market this at all until the last minute, how can you expect to garner viewership if you only do 1 months worth of full on promotion and then blow your load the last minute? Marketing didn't do this show any favors.

I guess everyone can be happy now that they don't have to watch this show again for another year since this will possibly be it's last season. Time to get the whiskey/depression out now i guess.

I think airing the premiere alongside the Olympics closing ceremony and Walking Dead mid-season premiere didn't do it any favors either.

I feel like starz personally set them up to fail and gave them a excuse to cancel their show. Well, they got it now. When they pull the trigger is the true question to ask here.

The closing ceremonies of the Olympics pulled in 14.8 million viewers even though the Olympic viewers were down quite a bit overall, and The Walking Dead still pulled in 8.3 million viewers despite people freaking out about it.

Bruce said in an interview I posted above that they would know if it was canceled by mid March. It would have been interesting to see what would happen if the show aired at a time when The Walking Dead, or other big shows were not on like December into January... and I tend to think AvED being on Starz is also holding it back quite a bit too.

Adding some extra info onto what Kevin posted, the show ranked 99th overall in the ratings and drew a 0.10. Things are going to strongly depend on how they did on delayed viewing, the app, on-demand and the +5s; as everyone pointed out, this is the lowest rating they've had for a season premiere yet. I have a feeling a lot of people were turned off by the season 2 finale. Considering the competition (in addition to TWD, which is a huge rival for AvED and the Olympics, in the same age group there was a pro wrestling pay per view airing) they're definitely waiting to get proper data in.

The average for last season was a .14, which means they hemorrhaged roughly three hundred thousand regular viewers, unless my math sucks.

Mid-March will mean they're waiting to see how it does after event programming ends, and they'll factor in app data. So if ratings don't approve by the fourth or fifth episode, it's curtains for the show.

Hey guys I'm new here, but I haven't seen anyone post this, but Bruce talks about a possible 4th movie if the show get's canceled this season.

Welcome to Deadites. I thought they had always said that the plan was to do 5 seasons of Ash vs Evil Dead followed by a movie that would tie up any loose ends, but if the show does get canned after 3 seasons it would be interesting to see if it gets off the ground. I know I'd much rather see an Ash vs Evil Dead movie than a project related to the 2013 remake.

Welcome to the board @wolfwood1222 !

IMO if Bruce tries to make that happen, they might have to end up crowd funding it. AvED's a financial failure; Starz gave them, by Bruce's own estimation, millions of dollars to finance this show and only the first season paid back proper dividends. That's not the kind of result that inspires studio confidence.

The only hope would be to pull the trigger on the crossover idea, and Fede is currently neck-deep in doing the new Lisbeth Salander movie.

That isn't gonna happen either, we might as well declare future projects for evil dead dead in the water at this point cause it's probably already being labeled as a underpeformer in starz and other's eye at this point, crowd funding would not work either (EX : Last Fan Standing). Bruce is getting up their in his age and likely want's to do other stuff with his career now at this point now having done 3 years worth of ED content, sam's off doing his own thing so his incredibly busy.

Ronda Rousey being involved in the wrestling ppv knocked AvED from trending topics too.

I actually never saw it on Trending Topics at all, which is unusual. The Twitter side of things was slightly quieter than usual. Rousey being in WrestleMania is going to kill them (episode 8 is going live against it).

Next week's competition is going to be as tough; more TWD and the Oscars.

Yeah, starz really wanted to bury them this year and they've succeeded in doing so.
