Original UK trade add/mini poster for ED1 .. this apparently was an insert in the NME (New Musical Express) magazine, I remember the magazine but as an official Palace Pictures product, this has to be as rare as a win a ton of red meat competion card .. I didn't know these even existed! ..  I'll be watching this auction!  :bigsmile :

That is an awesome find! Honestly I wish you good luck. I'd love to have a scan of the text.

As for the Leading Edge Games boxed set, thanks to a friend in the U.S. who can forward things to me for free (I pay American shipping only vs. the abysmal rates for shipping to Canada from the States) I paid in total $42 Canadian for it. :D I also tracked down some more of these sets that I'm missing....

Thanks and I'd love to win this one & Zooming in on the bulletin points on the left it reads:

> Nationwide campaign on ITV
> National press and radio campaign
> Simultaneous release on film and video
> TV holdback for at least two years
> Consumer competitions in 'The Sun' and 'Video Times'
> 1st prize - One years supply of red meat
> Full colour poster inside

.. on the bottom reads 'Were gonna get you !' .......... a marketing phrase not repeated until The Ladies of the Evil Dead did there tour in the early noughties ..

hee hee laser discs  :bigsmile ... and you had to flip 'em over to continue watching the film ! .... first time I ever saw 'special features' was on laser disc ...  :)

I've got two of them. It's uncut and has sharp picture and sound quality Jake. It's ironic that a British newspaper distributed The Evil Dead when they were all up for it being banned 'back in the day'. This is an overlooked future collectible imo and also a cheap way for future collectors to start out.  :)

More leading edge boxed sets are on eBay. While this is the only one of the four posted recently that I don't have, I know where to get it for the exact same price and it's in better condition/has the slip over it while this one seems to come without the slip.
