This T-Shirt doesn't look like it's vintage to me .. has anyone seen this one before?

Never seen that shirt, but it's a cool one.  I'd throw fifteen bucks at it if it was my size.

Looking at the Ash art work on it Shev, I think it's the same art that was used for the Evil Dead 2: Army of Darkness trade add or I'm wrong and it's just very similar ... does anyone here recognise the art's source please? .. thank you

Nice ... so they were only sold through the Bangkok Comicon to start with?
Were there any different figures?

The convention also had other exclusives. One was a god from religion I think and another was Dr. Doom? Either way, I had to pick it up. They supposedly made only 1,000 of them.

Cheers for the info Elise ..

.. and this Thorn EMI release cassette looks in suspiciously good condition regarding its age and is also listed as a 1979 release which is clearly wrong.

There's been a cluster of rare vintage ED collectables on ebay recently, this is the latest one from the Knokke-Heist film festival, Belgium 1982:

Not a bad poster, even if the swing bench is on the wrong side. This looks more like the remake's cabin to me:

Apparently only 100 of these Spooky Empire mondo posters were made:

I haven't seen this TeeVillain T-Shirt before:

If you didn't like the remake, look away now  :wink

I'm not normally into candles and what not but the detail on this one is pretty great:

Pink Flamingos was one of the trailers on Palace Pictures original's release so I'm wondering if this DVD was originally released with this card deliberately:

10 Japanese mini posters for $4.99:

I spotted this on EBay while combing along through listings:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-ARMY-OF-DARKNESS-t-shirt-cult-classic-horror-movie-Evil-Dead-Bruce-Campbell-/261547546717?pt=Vintage_Unisex_T_Shirts&hash=item3ce572d85d

I have no idea if it's actually vintage (it doesn't match any design I've ever seen), but the design is interesting, and rather more bloodthirsty than AOD's finished product.

,
It looks legit to me ... unless it's a new design printed on an old T ? .. I don't think forgers would go to the trouble of reproducing the tiny Renaissance Pictures print though ? I think you've found a winner:cool ..

Oh cool!  Thank you - I keep poking around Ebay for copies of the Whalen AOD posters, which is the main collectible I'm on the hunt for, and I banged into them by accident :)

ETA: For anyone hoping to get one of the Evil Dead 2 or AOD prints Mondo put out, they've already sold out and yes, are already surfacing on ebay via resellers.

This is why I never try to buy anything from Mondo unless it's an open edition; it's nearly impossible to successfully get checked out without being sniped. At least Gallery1988 and their equivalents have larger editions that tend to discourage price gouging (I may or may not want to own all three of the Whalen AOD prints in existence, I just don't want to overly benefit people on the secondary market who aren't even fans and just crash special edition releases so they can resell at astronomical amounts).

Or know the artist personally. I was able to score Olly Moss's Evil Dead poster since he had extras :cool

Which reminds me I need to frame mine. It's still in the tube!

PFT lucky!  :laughing

This Cinema Overdive poster's pretty sweet:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cinema-Overdrive-Evil-Dead-2-Rare-Poster-signed-Bruce-Campbell-4-cast-Mondo-/321493142860?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ada7c0d4c

This might be a genuine vintage UK ED2 poster. The seller is calling themselves de-clutterer and isn't saying for sure it is vintage. The small tears  could easily be faked but the low price doesn't suggest a forgery to me. Zooming in on the cracks, they do look genuinely old. My Palace '87 poster has the same cracks due to the thicker paper and inks used then. The seller is wondering if it was an '87 UK store bought poster, I started collecting ED seriously in '87 and was also a movie poster fiend back then ... I didn't see any repros of this poster in '87. I think it would be just as likely, if genuine, to be a video shop rental poster .. interesting ..:

To my own surprise I was able to grab the Tom Whalen print  :cool
I was just home from work when the tweet came and I rushed over to the site and I was just able to check it out when they tweeted it was sold out. I was beyond happy I got one  :excited
