This is why I never try to buy anything from Mondo unless it's an open edition; it's nearly impossible to successfully get checked out without being sniped. At least Gallery1988 and their equivalents have larger editions that tend to discourage price gouging (I may or may not want to own all three of the Whalen AOD prints in existence, I just don't want to overly benefit people on the secondary market who aren't even fans and just crash special edition releases so they can resell at astronomical amounts).

Yeah me to MaidOfKandar, I don't like that they've chopped the side of Cheryl's hair off in the print though.

This crushable screen used silicon rubber goblet was, from memory, originally sold through The Propstore of London website .. I've got a printout of the original sale somewhere:

Perhaps the prop builder bought these pewter goblets to take a cast of? ... I wouldn't imagine the prop builder using expensive pewter to hand create other goblets for Army of Darkness but who knows?. I don't remember seeing other goblets in the wiseman's workshop sequence and I can't remember what Ash was drinking from when he was being served by the medieval 'wenches'. The seller says he's raising cash to pay for a couple of months deposit because he and his wife are being kicked out of their house. He currently only has two items for sale on ebay that amount to $550 ... not enough money to pay for the two months of rental deposit he's looking for. Perhaps he's also selling other stuff elsewhere or just needs that extra small bit of cash. The pewter and silicon goblets look very similar. It would be interesting to see his paperwork/receipts for the original purchase.
 
They definitely use the same type of goblet in that scene where he fights the deadite witch, although only one is seen when he drinks from it. I'm sure a fair number of these goblets were purchased or produced for set dressing in various castle scenes.

I'm tempted, but at this stage I'd actually prefer to trade props rather than purchase new ones, and this seller is looking for cash only.

Objectively, at $250 per cup that's a damn good price for AoD props.
 
I'd ask to see his original receipt of sales before bidding, but it is a temptation, isn't it?
 
They are tempting but as they aren't 'hero' props (scene specific) I'd say $300 to $350 would be the most these would sell for. They're probably the real deal but I'd like to see some fellow nerd do a screen grab comparison measurement. Even then, they're set dressings. Cool though!.
 
Hi, I'm in the UK and just found a 'Chainsaw & Shotgun' box set of leading edge figures. I bought it years ago and it's been sitting in a cupboard every since so I think I should sell it!

I was curious as to the value and rarity of it, does anyone know how much they go for?

I bought mine for $100. If you put it on eBay on a low bid though, it'll sell a little lower.
