I posted Bout the Mezco figure a short while ago but it's vanished. (Or I forgot to click 'Post Reply'. Wouldn't be the first time.)

Anyway: they both look great! Mezco figures often tend to be, and have a nice range of accessories.

It's good they in life a stand option too. Helps with posing and jumping shots.

And that Ashy Slashy puppet... yes please.

Anywho, Those new scuplts for young ash are pretty dope, but i think the main attraction for this set is probably ed, the detail is immense !

Those are amazing! I couldn't find a price, but I guess they'll put those up later.

I see Mezco went the 'fabric clothes' route while Neca the sculpted clothes. Both work well.

And lots of interchangeable hands for Mezco, but you get two heads for Neca !

Which to choose... (And that's not even factoring in Ed. Heh.)

The sculpt on the NECA Ash is very interesting to me, and I'm amused by the scale comparison of Ashy Slashy and a regular sized Ash figure!

The Mezco figure's sculpt is really nice, too, though maybe more cartoony, so to speak? I like it.

It's a shame they're not even considering a Ruby figure at the moment. The 'maybe' must hinge on something special.

I'm guessing the next wave will be Ash plus a season 2 Deadite?

I guess wave 2 will be grown up demon (prototype already shown), Ash variant (i would say wearing jacket?) and a new character (pablo?). Since they say no ruby is in the works, answering "maybe" to the pablo/kelly question is a clear "yes" to me.

On the other hand, we know for a fact that they sculpted a new version of henrietta which has nothing to do with EDII, so i would say a two pack (as the one with the two little demons) is in the works too...

They have already stated on Twitter that they are waiting for season 3 news/teaser/whatever to start teasing the figures...
 
Ahh, that makes sense - I'd forgotten about the prototypes they'd unleashed recently.

We have a jacketed Ash, so maybe we'll get an asylum Ash or one with a rotted foot from the cabin episode?

Wow,bad news regarding my predictions...

Someone asked NECA on Twitter about series 2 of figures and they confirmed that it is completed BUT "no Pablo YET"

The YET part sounds good because implies they are seriously considering it for potential wave 3, but then, what about series 2?

Will they follow the series 1 scheme with 2 ashes + 1 demon (say, jacketed ash, "maniac" ash from the asylum episode and grown-up demon)? But again, we have the henrietta left, which could be included in a 2 pack.

That would match NECA strategy for other lines of figures, since i guess they are very confident about any ash iteration being the "hot seller" of the wave... No Pablo, Ruby nor Kelly sounds pretty weak,though...

Will they go for Kelly as a third figure instead of Pablo? What are the chances?

I think it will happen, i just think there sitting on it twiddling there fingers about it or there just teasing and they are waiting on SDCC to pull the trigger. I honestly hope we don't more ash variants and just another demon cause that would just blow, i'd rather just 1 ash variant 1 new figure of either kelly or pablo and then a demon. If this turns out to be the case with the 2 ashes, here's hoping Series 3 will be the time they pull the trigger on pablo and kelly figures :-/ .

Well, actually that would make a lot of sense...

Had they known in advance the original idea for the finale of season 2, kelly would have been a better choice at that point.

Besides, she could be a very interesting character figure-wise: she could pack weaponery, alt head with "possesed" portrait and most important: ashy slashy puppet, since she is the one to interact with it (besides ash, but i dont think the asylum variant would be the way to go for a third variant of him)
