Issue four of Dynamite's first Evil Ernie series (subtitled "Origin of Evil") features Ernie's adoptive father Buford making an S-Mart reference while speaking over a prison intercom.

Seems like Peacock's Hysteria series (featuring Bruce Campbell) has at least one nod to The Evil Dead...

Army of Darkness comics writer/artist Tony Fleecs pays tribute to both Fangoria Magazine and The Evil Dead with a variant cover for issue #10 of his creator owned-series Feral. This issue comes out February 12th, 2025 if anyone is interested in picking it up...

The new "Ghoul Within" update of Fallout 76 adds some new locations to the game, including a secluded cabin (complete with a workshed), with a cream-yellow car rusting away nearby. Apparently a mounted deer head and chainsaw can be found inside the cabin, too.

That definitely sounds like a full-on Evil Dead nod. The yellow car alone is a dead giveaway, but adding the mounted deer head and chainsaw? That’s straight-up Ash’s cabin. I wonder if Bethesda might go even further with it — maybe add a cheeky Necronomicon easter egg tucked away somewhere?

These days I rarely touch anything outside of the occasional online game — I usually play online after picking something here first. It just used to eat up so much of my time, and I know myself… if I were still playing now, I’d 100% be crawling all over the map trying to find that cabin and car. Wouldn’t even care if it took me hours — I’d have to see it for myself.

A brand-new deep cut reference: Finn Wolfhard (of Stranger Things fame) recreates the Evil Dead 2 UK trailer (which featured Sam Raimi and Johnathan Ross) for his upcoming film Hell of a Summer.

We haven't got a thread devoted to pictures of Bruce Campbell's relatives so I'm posting this here. Charlie Campbell, Bruce Campbell's Dad. An impressive resemblance.

Uh, why don't you start one? (j/k). This isn't an Evil Dead reference.

The Evil Dead got another shout-out on Jeopardy the other night (April 30th, 2025).
Reading from this flesh-bound tome in "The Evil Dead" brings about all kinds of demon shenanigans for Ash & company.
As many others online have pointed out, since the question seems to specifically be referring to ED1, the correct answer would be "Naturom Demonto".
Bruce has seen this and responded.

Fair point sorry although Bruce is a private man so I'd feel a bit stalker-ish posting random pics of his family to start a whole thread devoted to that. Sorry Kain but I just dumped this pic of Bruce's Dad here to be completely honest lol.

Brian Quinn from Impractical Jokers teases the return of "Staten Island Ash" for Season 12 of the show. Apparently season has been airing, and the final episode aired today (September 4th), so maybe there's a new Evil Dead punishment in that episode...?

The PC game Multipath Adventures: Xena Warrior Princess - Girls Just Want To Have Fun (based on the Xena episode "Girls Just Want To Have Fun") has several Evil Dead nods in bits of character dialog. The game has multiple endings and choices you can make along the way, but it seems like the Evil Dead references are only present in the best possible route you can take (I watched multiple videos covering the various paths just to confirm it). Timestamps to the references are bold.
* The first reference is right at the start, where "swallow their souls" gets dropped (2:14)
* Gabrielle says the Bacchae are "turned into souless evil dead beings that roam the dark underbelly of man's domain" (3:20), which is very close to Professor Knowby's quote from ED1: "...those forces which roam the forest and dark bowers of man's domain."
* Xena saves Joxer and says "buckle up furball, 'cause you're goin' for a ride!" (5:46)
* "Well hello Mister Fancypants" (7:19)
* Joxer exclaims "The evil dead!" (32:51)
* Xena says "let's head into those caves and carve ourselves some Bacchae" (33:20) which is close to Ash's "carve ourselves a witch" from ED2
