September 18th is kind of a weird date. I would think Starz would make you stay silent until the premier, or they would send something horrible to swallow your soul.
Now I'm kind of scared to find out who, or what Ash has gotten himself into.

RE Chainsaw duel; they were back at the cabin again. My worry that they'll keep going back to that well continues to manifest.

Full Thoughts/Breakdown
-Oh man, pablo character arc this season is gonna be great, and another thing to note is that he has symbols tattooed all over his body, it's hard to tell with the quality of the video.
-Baal and Ash having a chainsaw duel, that scene is gonna be intense to watch !
-Kelly and a evil ash puppet, what more can i say then that, haha.
- I nearly died laughing at lee majors reaction to the deadite, just priceless
- I'm just gonna say that teased fire trail scene was epic to say the least, ash seems to be in serious/time to kick ass mode judging by his overall attitude, plus pablo and rubys reaction's were priceless.
-That possessed delta episode still looks amazing.
Overall, a very awesome tv spot that has now got me officially pumped for s2, can Oct 2nd get here already, i'm starting to go a bit mad over here with every new piece of footage !!

- The subtle hints of ash traveling back in time to stop professer knowby from translating the book, the beginning scene is probably where ash finds tanya down in the cellar and is introducing himself judging by the delivery of that line.

The trigger happy Kelly, screaming Pablo, possessed Classic, thigh biting puppet, and dueling chainsaws (not banjos) all look pretty bad ass. I'm about as fired up as Ash is in this spiffy new tv spot.

Am I the only one bothered by this season's apparent focus on crude sexual/bathroom humor? The fact that they keep acting as if this has been a staple of the ED series so far when that clearly isn't the case is also pretty annoying. All of the instances of gross humor to be found on the films were always based on absurd violence and cartoony gore with a layer of silly Three Stooges antics over it. That's actually very different in style from the stuff they're teasing. It was never about accidentally having sex with deadites or getting your head shoved up a corpse's ass. Insisting on that as a "feature" of season 2 is making me think that once again they're completely missing the point in terms of writing style and just turned to offering us a lot of gross stuff without the usual great filmmaking to back it up.
Also, the casting of Lee Majors as Ash's dad was a stroke of genius. Unfortunately, everything I've seen of him on these teasers doesn't do much to make me confident they'll do it justice when it comes to character portrayal. To me, it's already starting to look more and more like just another missed opportunity in a show that's already full of them.
Sigh... Here I go again negatively overanalyzing this thing. I try to stay positive. I wanna stay positive. I really do, I swear.

Honestly, the sexual/bathroom humor hasn't bothered me in the slightest, to me it's just them showcasing how much more crazy season 2 is going to be but as for the teasers/trailers/press tour stuff, it's just full of cherrypicking nonsense and shouldn't be taken seriously as the final product, so far the teasers have been doing what the press tour has been doing so far.
Showcasing how far they went with this season, they have showed brief glimpses of the serious/characters developing in the teasers and trailers but for the most part they've mainly showcased the jokes and overall crazy tone there going for this season so i wouldn't exactly trust the teasers/trailers or some of the stuff they say IMHO.
And no worries man, were all nervous about this upcoming season (well except for kain as his seen the first two episodes already*shakes fist* ) but the main thing i'm glad/excited to hear is that we'll be getting substantially more character development this season that has probably been the main thing i'm looking forward to this season.

IMO there's always been a slight need in the franchise's history to keep topping itself over and over and over again; AOD did it with scale and scope versus gore. But they also keep looking for that one button that will get them the same reaction they did in '81. It's the in-universe version of Bruce demanding Stephen King acknowledge Ash's might when he said he found the lead actors in TWD and the Strain more compelling; it's unbecoming and desperate. They don't seem to get that the bar for shock horror is very high at this point, and when people get offended they get offended for reasons that have nothing to do with gawping at their daring. I agree that the most memorable moments in the trilogy aren't gross, unless body horror grosses you out or you faint at the sight of blood.
(Compare and contrast if you like with a certain scene in Don't Breathe, which is obviously there to shock people but only scored one offended review and mostly has an audience due to other elements).
(And I doubt they will top Waters or even Peter Jackson's Dead Alive for memorable gross-out gags. Have they SEEN A Dirty Shame, which is low-end late period Waters but still features (cutlining for NSFW)

Adding some positivity - they really did luck out with Lee Majors. I'm kind of glad Bruce's clear initial favorite (William Shatner) didn't get picked up.

You and me both. William Shatner is cool and all, but that would've been a joke for joke's sake. Lee Majors can actually bring something to the role other than a funny persona and seems much more at home in the ED world than Shatner would ever be.
