RE: Ash vs Evil Dead Season 2 General Discussion Thread [SPOILERS]
I think it's probably because they want to sell the season's outrageousness to the nth degree, and this is one of the best examples they can conjure.
There's gotta be a market for it; they might be trying to appeal to the women in the audience (though if they want to do that they might want to fix their social media).
Everything that Nick said above, though I think AW was talking more about the nude scene versus Lucy's general presence on the show.
Like Joe said, there's nudity in the original trilogy; in fact the euro cut of AOD has even more nudity than the US cut. If Ray was willing to do it, it's funny and it fits the scene and, as they keep parroting, they have no restrictions productionwise. I don't see any reason for the scene not to exist. We've had plenty of bare boobs, the odd schlong or two won't be the worst thing the season has to offer up and it won't break the franchise. It's not like we're going to have naked Ash discretion shots, Bruce has long refused to do frontal nudity.
And thankfully no one's peed on a Deadite in canon. Yet.
Back on topic, the second season premiere is only going to run five minutes over the half-hour; Blunt Talk is debuting behind AvED at 8:35.
Joem1k said:They've been mentioning this in every interview and the panel, i bet it's probably going to be just for one scene, they also hammed it up alot for this interview as they were probably on the clock but anyways looking past that, bruce and the others seem really excited for where his character is going to be going by the end of this season.MaidOfKandar said:Apparently in addition to floating according to this Nerdist interview Pablo is naked during the course of the show. That's happening.
Also sounds like you're getting one of your wishes RE Pablo's character development, Joe!

Looking forward to the journey pablo's gonna take for this season, hyped as hell for it while at the same time scared for what his about to endure to get to that point. #Pablosgonnaexperiencesomeshit (S2 hashtag for pablo)

Who seriously wants to see Pablo naked? :-/
Even Lucy Lawless was unwanted from any but the most desperate fanboy. Seemed totally out of place when they jumped into the fire just so they could do a GoT nudity shot.
I don't know who you have been talking to, but Lucy was a welcome edition by just about everyone except the most ardent hater/shit stirrer... and she is far from a simple fanboy's dream because her and Bruce have amazing chemistry together. Not to mention to fact that the show needed a strong female that could be around for a while. It is clear that Pablo will get the most growth this season even if it has to happen in the nude.

This isn't a porno, nothing 'HAS' to happen nude.
If they go full Spartacus and start dropping dongs and peeing on people I gotta say I'm out.
