This is an excellent catch and very interesting. Perhaps Linda's head never decayed? Maybe Ash's hand is still running around, too?
Paleyfest is actually an excellent sign, attending is an honor conferred to the cream of the crop of fall shows.
I'm still delighted that I'm the one who coined that hashtag.
And I'm already pre-protective of Kelly and Pablo.

Hahaha. As I said on Twitter, at least when it comes to said shit Pablo has the right tool for deposing of it. I just hope he is up to said task... and we are just 45 days away from the best treat ever on Halloween Ash vs Evil Dead. Btw, the new pic of Ash and Kelly is fantastic.

I swear the show's main aesthetic influence is some weird Walking Dead/Mad Max/remake thing. All of the post-first three eps footage and stills that've leaked out don't scream OT 'Evil Dead' to me visually at all, especially the stuff attached to the militia plot-line that occupies the middle of the season.
Anyway, looks like they're at the same place that Ruby ends up in in the earlier!

The stills are just to get the attention of the new audience. The aesthetics that really matters is from the footage from the trailer, which I think is more than ok, even despite the lack of 35mm I was complaining about a few months ago.

This shot look really epic and badass. I really don't mind if there's a new twist and a fresh imagery for the series. We got a great deal of comic books related work since 1992. Some of them are great, but they mostly rehash the same one liners from TED2 and AOD with a non evolutive character. I do expect they will inject a bit of The Walking Dead and the new MadMax (Which was great btw) into the mix. What we got is a 23 years later sequel. It can't be the same and it can't feel visually the same.

And now we know why they were searching so fervently for graphics artists on Tumblr and Dev earlier in the year.
It's worth noting that they have officially canonized "James" as Ash's middle name as of this. This is a notion that popped up in comics canon a few arcs back (in that continuity he's named after his grandfather, a g-man who worked under cover in the 20s).
There are also several fresh (but edited) publicity shots used in graphics on the site.
I wish they'd actually made the merch section functional before launching. Or if it's a giveway that something on the site would actually discuss/express that.

My favourite Evil Dead - Joseph LoDuca song is still this one, so I would like to see something in that sense. Maybe a bit modernized version.
On the other hand, the new trend for TV shows dictates that the opening titles aren't that long, usually just a few seconds (Agents of SHIELD, Spartacus from Starz), so maybe we won't even get an opening song.
