It seems to me that there is going to be some major character conflicts leading into the finale
*Ash seems to be not trusted anymore by kelly and pablo by episode 9, ruby knowby could have a hand in that.
SPOILER
Ep 9. Ash finds himself in a battle with his greatest nemesis. Kelly and Pablo have to decide who to trust.
I thought this episode was about his greatest nemesis "Evil Ash". If there's two Ash which one to trust?
I think that the point will be that Ash hides from Pablo and Kelly that he was the one who released the Evil and the whole bubble will burst near the end of the season when Ruby comes along and connects the dots. So at that point the duo will be feeling betrayed by Ash - especially Kelly, because the deadites killed off her family.
I don't know if I like this theory, because it's a bit of a "character is afraid to tell something to the other characters throughout the season and eventually they find out" cliché, but maybe they'll find an original spin for this. If they us this tactic, of course.

I'm pretty sure that's not what happens, mostly because Ash pretty much tells Pablo everything that happens in the OT canon in that flashback we got in the trailer. He admits he did it upfront and that he wants to fix it, and they both see him with the book. There's not much for him to hide.
I have two theories: in one, Ruby shows up when they arrive that the cabin and sees the mess/Linda's head/Ash's hand/etc and tries to get Pablo and Kelly to believe her version of the truth - that her mother, father and Annie were murdered by Ash. They all then realize by by bit that no, there's no reason for Ash to have lied about killing them organically.
Theory 2 is that Ash is claimed by The Evil while trying to bury the book in the woods. He alternates between his demon self and the real self struggling to break back out, and during one of those blackouts Amanda is killed (which I still strongly feel will happen). Kelly and Pablo see this, shove him in the cellar and have to struggle between believing him and killing him like the other Deadites they've done in. Kelly would probably be on Ash's side since he probably helps her during her possession episode from Ep 4-5, and Pablo will have his First Crisis of Doubt in his hero worship of Ash and think he should put him down. Ash, meanwhile, will have to struggle against his grief to reclaim his body. They did promise us multiple Evil Ash's, after all.
It's interesting that they tried to edit most of these to make it less obvious as to what happens (covering up some of Ruby's backstory, the thrust of the militia story, and the idea of Amanda and Ash getting together by episode 7). Cat's already out of the bag guy.
