Evil Dead Auctions Listings (memorabilia, props, Ebay etc.)

Prop ED2 page claiming to have been 'pulled out of the trash can' by the seller stating they worked on building the interior cabin B set ... problem with that is they say this set was in Dearborn, in fact the fictional town created soley for the game and not one of the locations used for the actual ED2 shoot. This has been backed up with a truth of authenticity print art certificate showing Tom Sullivan's name:  ::)

I worked for the company that built the interior of the cabin in the woods for additional shooting (ie later re-shoots) done in Dearborn, Michigan.

So this page might very well be legit?.. time to contact this guy for an interview mate  8)

Three days left on this and it's well below its collector's value at the moment:

Another one that used to command a fortune and is extremely rare .. the Pallisades Holiday Ash figure only sent to industry insiders, the same sculpt as the commercialy available figure but with the obvious differences. This one has knee damage unfortunately but is still a comparative bargain .. :

Wow!  :o .. thanks for the link FuzzyDan .. great find!

edit: just noticed the seller's name is JackieDan .. are you the seller?

Have discussed with NAH about this box for this Evil Dead betamax cassete before .. the embossed Palace logo inside pictured in this link suggests that the outer red colour for this format is an original though non red variants are also out there  :

(.. and without blowing the dust off my copys of this tape, I remember one of the trailers on this being for 'The Kindred', also released in '87 :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flc_XREAWZs .. cheesy 80's goodness!  ;D)

Cheap (currently) price for this old release, a banned video nasty dvd box set including The Evil Dead ..  would love to buy this for the documentary alone :

The warehouse that Fangoria magazine used to store their back issues in burned down years ago increasing the value of the harder to get copys .. this one was rare even before the fire .. this price is extremely low, I spent considerably more for my copy .. Anthony Timpone, the 'Fango' editor took the risk of including The Evil Dead's Ash on his front cover (before its release) soley on the strength of Stephen King's review  from Cannes Film Festival ..  8)

Here she is again, the Palace Pictures '87 first UK rental release, this time though with the original gold/plastic Palace Premiere logo case. A few chips on the case edges but I think that seems acceptable considering its overall rarity ..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pre-cert-VHS-horror-Evil-Dead-2-/330870544700?pt=UK_DVD_Film_TV_Videos&hash=item4d096bd93c#ht_63wt_1328

I'd never come across this image before when I noticed it originaly for sale on ebay as a vintage UK newspaper cutting. Then it sold and now the same image is up as a poster. The mint condition suggests to me that this is a new product .. I like it though:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-EVIL-DEAD-SAM-RAIMI-HORROR-POSTER-ADVERT-MOVIE-RARE-PALACE-VIDEO-NASTIES-/281061610969?pt=UK_DVD_Film_TV_Film_Memorabilia_LE&hash=item417093d5d9

These rarely come up for sale, the UK VHS rental poster for when The Evil Dead was allowed back into our stores in 1990 was a heavily censored version. The 'At Last It's Back!' promise (both on the poster and the box) annoyed a lot of ED fans at that time who'd already seen the Palace version and then sat through this re-release. Blockbuster video stores were crafty in boasting of re-releasing 'un-cut' nastys at the time that were always more heavily censored than even the original BBFC cuts. This poster uses Graham Humphrey's first artwork for the film though I don't remember ever seeing a VHS box that didn't instead use his second Cheryl artwork?. If anyone can correct me please do. The VHS sleeves can be viewed in the collectibles section at www.bookofthedead.com:

A very rare opportunity to buy the world's first home release of The Evil Dead, The Palace rental tape back when it was released simultaneously on video and theatricaly .. a ballsy marketing move that I don't think has ever been repeated (if anyone can correct me I'd be gratefull for the correction). A lot of these were destroyed by the police during the UK video nasty raids of the early 80's and again early 90's. This notorious cassette has featured in documentarys! ... and, if you're lucky, you could find one of the fabled 'Win a Ton of Red Meat' cards that were slipped inside the sleeves before being sent to rental stores. I saw one once when they were new. Names Ash Housewares is the only person I know who has since scored one, SeeNoEvil sent me an excellent replica ... these are like finding Willy Wonka's golden ticket to collectors! . I have this VHS, its availability was the subject of a Crown Court battle, it's a slice of censorship history and serious collectors should put this high on their list of things to grab while they still can:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PRE-CERT-VHS-THE-EVIL-DEAD-IN-PALACE-BOX-/321070699508?pt=UK_DVD_Film_TV_Videos&hash=item4ac14e13f4#ht_22wt_1328

edit: There are three differences to this inner cassette and my copy .. mine has the FUJI logo on the top left side of the tape's face, the 'windows' are slightly different that expose the inner magnetic tape and my face's label is yellow instead of white. I have seen a red face label version. All the print seems to be exactly positioned otherwise. I've also compared the label to the Palace '90 re-release and this seller hasn't switched the cassette for that one ..

Ok .. so apparently even Palace ED1 original releases are like buses .. ie; You wait for ages for one and then two turn up at the same time. The only shady looking thing about this next one is that it should have the puff print Palace logo inbeded in the plastic of the inside of the front of the tape's case. Looking at the second picture in the link, this one hasn't. If you can get over that and still want to bid, this is a very low price:

edit: was a very low price  ;)
