[Official Thread] Evil Dead Rise

Brief thoughts on the released scene:

* Overall, I like this; definitely a sort of AOD feel to it?

Stray obs:

* Heavy amount of Catholic iconography, which is new and different from anything we've seen.

* Dead Meat Teen #1 is going to great lengths to get this book. Curiosity? Book at work?

* The bank vault looks as if it's dressed up like a museum display

* From those beetles alone I see we're not gonna claim there was no CGI in this one.

I actually like this one better than the first one!
 
A good friend of mine told me yesterday that this film's just been made. She suggested we could watch it together when it gets it's home release?. I had to remind her about that time when I took the EVIL DEAD remake round to her house to watch, she only lasted up until the possessed cursing girl tied to the beam who was then shot in the head with a shotgun by her dad before I had to switch it off. So about ten minutes?. She's agreed with me over the phone that she probably won't be able to handle this newest one either. Only for the hardcore :cool:

I have posters for the original trilogy and an Evil Dead 2013 poster (red) on the walls in my bedroom, and asked the theater if there was any way I could get the alternate poster (white...) but they wouldn't let me have it even though they likely just threw it away when they stopped showing the movie. Also have them for season 1-2 of Ash vs Evil Dead along with the Ash for president 2016 yard sign. Now I would love to get my hands on the new Evil Dead Rise poster and/or a park bench advertisement that is wider than longer so it takes up a lot less room since the bedroom is on the smaller side.

Solid acting from everyone there.

I'm fascinated by the fact that Ellie can tell what's happening to her. That's a different level of awareness than we've ever gotten out of a Deadite victim before.

I do believe that bruce picture is from a promo video they did before the first trailer dropped and not from the actual film

Seems like it, especially because all spoilers indicate his cameo is aural only.
