I love, LOVE, that poster.
The trailer has me feeling a little more optimistic as well.

(and in a tiny quibble, that is one poorly-rendered in paint fake hand Ash is sporting. I can see the hair on the back of Bruce's hand).
saw that picture, but thought it looked odd since his old hand was a wood one that wasn't articulated... and wondered if someone lost the original so they just decided to paint his hand. Now the poster on the other hand is totally bad ass as well as the trailer. I new something was coming, but didn't expect all of that. It is amazing the difference a properly cut trailer can make.
As fans can see in this exclusive production still, Ash vs. Evil Dead is going to a brand new realm in Season 3, the likes of which the characters have never seen before. "The Dead World is a realm never explored in the Evil Dead franchise," explains Ray Santiago. The murky, ashy, almost Stranger Things-esque location might seem similar to our world, but is "a place where all your greatest fears come to life, and force you to face what scares you most." Fans should expect Ash and team to be pushed to the limit in Dead World. According to Santiago, they can "trust no one. Who is dead? Who is alive? No can tell." "In the Dead World, even Ash and the gang might be done. [It's] a place where the choices you make determine your next destination," says Santiago. "Dead or alive, here it comes."
I can't help it, but the giant deadite thing reminds me of what happens to Eldridge in Fistful of Boomstick... and now I can't help wonder if they decided to tie in some stuff in terms of looks from the game.
Any chance the jumbo-sized demon in the trailer & poster is meant to be rotten apple head, or a related demon?
-Brandy wearing dalton's jacket (Possible love interest scenario there?)
I can't be the only one who's reminded of a Graboid from Tremors!
I think that'd at least be a new avenue to explore.
That's my hope too!
Yay Joe's back!
I hope not, since he's being introduced as Kelly's lover from what I can grasp!
And well nope, that's a brand new thing
The set design is interesting but I think aping your younger contemporaries like this might be a little "too soon". It depends on how they handle it since it really is very upside down. Is this what the real world actually looks like while Ash and the others are inhabiting the fantasy Ruby's conjured for them? I sense a maybe-twist?
I won't mind it if it does happen, plus in the previous trailer we see pablo and kelly kissing, so i have pretty good feeling dalton and kelly isn't gonna last long. Plus i feel like they are keeping dalton in the dark marketing wise for a very good reason considering his backstory.
You mentioned earlier about wanting the psychological aspect to come into play for character development, seems like to me that aspect could come into play when they go there we might be in-store for some personal/tense character moments. Hopefully that's the case

-Crazy Demonic Ruby, can i just ask where the hell was this ruby in the first two seasons, lucy looks like she's having a damn ball in each scene she's in, i love it !
Maybe he is masquerading as a high schooler even though he is much older to get closer to her and thus Ash. Of course, I could be wrong... but he has that bad boy vibe. Although we did get one shot of Dalton that looks like he is in some sort of alternate world.
I hope the Netflix viewership will help ratings for season 3
