Ash vs Evil Dead Season 3 General Discussion Thread

I just plain love that video; I'm interested in seeing if the other castmembers are undergoing wardrobe changes this time around.

Virtually every big show/movie that is coming out later in the year will be releasing new info around Comic Con time, and up until then I think little things could trickle out. We have a new and very unknown director joining the ranks this year named regan hall. 

Directors & Editors Guild of NZ (DEGNZ) member and director Regan Hall has directed one episode in Season 3 of STARZ Network’s Ash vs Evil Dead (AVED) television series following his attachment to the series in 2015.

“I was excited to helm an episode of this fantastic cult franchise, which included shooting an epic fight scene, a gruesome demon, and loads of witty one-liners. Rob Tapert and his team have been very supportive, and I thank STARZ, the NZFC, and the DEGNZ for the foot in the door,” said Hall.

“During Season 1 of AVED we worked with the DEGNZ to offer several director attachments including to the 2nd Unit and stunt departments. Any of those directors would have been great to have on the show. We are happy to be able to give this opportunity to Regan and support talented New Zealand directors,” said Tapert.

“We are thrilled to see another of the attachment initiatives we have been involved with bear fruit with Regan directing on AVED,” said Executive Director Tui Ruwhiu. “Few Kiwis get the opportunity to direct on high budget US drama and this is a great coup for our TV drama strategy.”

Hope they release some teaser or news soon...

I remember Bruce said something about being more "hermetic" about season 3...they are sticking to it for sure!
 
I'm really surprised they haven't dropped a still or two by now.  

Also Bruce's two latest tweets have me intrigued.  He's an EP; he should at least have word by now of when the s2 release is happening, right?  Conversely, I don't expect him to know anything about when the show will air s3; Starz doesn't make decisions like that until they get the whole thing in the can.
 
Looks like no one knows what is going on with Starz, and the fact that we will likely have to wait until just before season 3 starts to get season 2 on Blu-ray is annoying if all we will be getting is commentary tracks again.
 
I know, but they need to speed up the process. Although I must admit I'm looking forward to season 3 more than season 2 despite any goodies we might get.
 
It would be nice if we get a season 2 Blu-Ray release with all the cool promotional material they did for season 2 on disc. I would be willing to pay more for a better and more complete set. Hell for me the price doesn't even matter. Just give it to me!!!
 
UPDATE on filming for S3 

Nick Bassett has just confirmed over on his instagram that filming for S3 is almost complete.

I tried to post, edit, and repost the picture... but was apparently beaten to the punch much like the other guy Bruce mentioned in his tweet.

I think the reason why it's intriguing to me is that by this time they could generally tell us it was going to air in the fall; it's my continued presumption that that is when it's gonna end up surfacing but it's interesting that they haven't told him that.

According to comments on the Tweet, the horror press is in New Zealand this week for the traditional set tour and pre press.

(also hah, I just noticed Bruce's robe is Ash-navy as well!)

Starting to see a surge of activity in showing off S3, wonder if we aren't soon approaching the roll out phase and we start to get some info here soon... just me guessing though !
