There apparently was indeed a promo last night, but judging from the tiny amount of buzz it got it must've been all old footage.
Let's just....put that spoiler warning out there so people can read the quote themselves and then decide if they want to watch the show knowing it's going to happen: click below if you want to know. If you have sexual abuse-related triggers, please skip it. Quoth the article Joe posted:
...This includes eventually succumbing to Ash’s lothario ways for a love scene that Lawless describes as “just wrong,” as well as making out with a 10-year-old boy who has been possessed by the soul of her character’s dead lover. That sequence presented an awkward and legitimate ethical dilemma for Lawless..
...Y'know how sometimes Sam makes a choice and all I can do is shrug and point to the screen? Because what they want is outrage and controversy to inflate the ratings? Like Terry Rakola is still a real thing and people can't bootleg things to look at and then dismiss? Yeah. This is not a good idea and will not end well for them in this kind of social climate, but I'm not going to point and scream, because that's what they want. The rest of the spoiler just makes me roll my eyes, because Lucy liiied through her teeth during one part of the press junket and the last thing I want is

Now i don't know about the ruby and ash part because if i remember correctly, they were joking around on the ruby and ash part in that one interview and i'm wondering if the person who wrote the article didn't write that part correctly. Now if that scene with the 10 year old boy is true, it's gonna be very unsettling to watch :s
Boy micheal p shipley was quick on the draw with that photoshop image :dodgy:
I'm willing to give them leeway on the Ruby/Ash thing if they make it funny. I continue to worry they're packing too much into this single season of the show.
Michael Shipley has a history of doing things like this, he has no sense of tact and this is stomach turning. Bruce follows him on Twitter out of loyalty because he reported one of his stalkers to Twitter proper, before anyone asks how they're associated.

I didn't really ever get that guy. Like sometimes he has valuable new information on Twitter, but the way he presents it and some of the garbage he spams... Umghf...
About the spoiler: If it actually is true, I can't get rid of the feeling that it was actually Rob Tapert's idea.
If that nastier spoiler is true, I seriously hope they cut that out of the show. Nobody in their right mind would want to see that and it would seriously damage the cast and crew's reputation as well as the fans credibility. I dread to think what sort of fans we'd start getting here.

Or the people who would go around saying that the gang have lost their minds and/or their touch, and are going for the creepout factor instead of bringing back the creepy feeling of the original. I have been away for the last few days... and still need to catch up on all the hubbub that is going on with this bit of info.
@Nick - that's all there is to the spoiler; no one else has said anything more about it and that's the only place it's appeared.
To me this is evidence that the Pablo stuff is all button-pushing, an intentional attempt at gaining controversy. I think there's a huge difference between bloody artistic expression and even the tree rape scene (which Sam and Bruce have repeatedly said was included because rape is a horrific crime to them) and running around trying to get lower-common denominator controversy like the dumb race jokes and the stuff in the spoiler.
It's also pretty endemic of the fact that nobody seems to know what the show is about. Is it a 'greasy meatloaf comfort food sandwich' for people who hated the remake and want Ash back? Or has it realized that it needs to find new, discomforting buttons to push in the American psyche? Is it a 'horror sitcom' or is it a 'drama with witty moments'? Is it a story with strong, independent female characters of a Place of Manly Men? Is it all of these things and thus none of these things and therefore incredibly confused tonewise?
Re Paleyfest: either the buzz is starting to wear out or the Paley crowd and TED don't mix. Or the tickets are prohibitively expensive. It's less than a week to the panel, it should be sold out by now.
Sadly a lot of people who are fans of Army of Darkness have no clue that Evil Dead 1 & 2 or even Within the Woods exist. Yes I have run into people like this. So I'm not surprised at the least.
That's honestly pretty true and something I've noticed is endemic; AOD is one of the Things They're Known Best For, yet it seems to exist as a complete meal that stands outside the series for a lot of people.

Maybe it's all of these things ? .. I'm sure if anyone can or should do it, then it should be the originators of the series. Either way, just because of the very nature of the internet, there's going to be a backlash against it however good or bad it's going to be .. but as long as it's Sam's, Bruce's and Rob's baby, it's going to be the real deal. This is going to be there last swan song so I hope they're also making it just for there own enjoyment as well as for ours ... we all saw George Lucas say f**k it you ungrateful bastards at the end and then sell Star Wars to Disney .. I think they're just having a last bit of fun on their own terms ..
Alright here's a new image of the new york comic con schedule with a very interesting background image.
Look's like they are arriving at that creepy survivalist camp in this picture.
Looks to me like Ash is driving away from his base camp and through two constructed 'evil trees' because he's never truly moved on from his cabin experience and the tree things are a visual fan reference ? .. at least I hope so ! .. driving through the two trees is a bit of a coincidence otherwise ..
