It only went up a tick from the post-premiere crash we had last year, which isn't the best news. This brings them in at 59th place this week, by the way.
Surprised the head-up-the-butt stunt last week didn't gain them any traction.
You (by which I mean all of us and not specifically you, Joe) should actually should care about ratings, though, because Starz apparently takes them into account along with subscription numbers; that's why DaVinci's Demons got canned after three seasons of slowly decelerating ratings and they made the mistake of canning Spartacus even though the show kept getting better numbers in Syndication because they got worse and worse broadcast numbers for original airings (this is by Bruce's own admission, and he'd know). Otherwise Spartacus would still be airing to keep its cult audience happy; they don't just keep shows running for no reason. The show probably got renewed because of whatever numbers the Starz ap is doing plus DVD sales plus whatever the total weekly cumes ended up being (something like 700k a week?), but everything can change in the blink of an eye.
I'm wondering what they'll do with S3. The fact that they're doing an EP shuffle is a sign, and something Starz has actually requested of other shows (IE DVD and TGE, which has terrible numbers but is being renewed with a complete writer, director, actor and producer overhaul next season as I've said before). It's quite possible that they might shuffle AvED off to Fridays if numbers don't perk up and most of the numbers come from binge watchers, and quite likely the partnership with Blunt Talk will be over (it actually got a .03 this week, which is remarkably awful), which will only benefit them. I do find it interesting that Bruce didn't get the double renewal he was all but demanding in the press. It's mixed news, but at least season 3's been guaranteed.
My best advice, as always, is to watch the show a bunch on the ap or OnDemand. At least one DVR replay counts toward it too.
